Ramming Mass

Ramming mass is composed of aggregates (quartz sand, clinker), powders, binders (cement, phosphate binders), and additives. The specific composition can be customized according to the application scenario. This moldable refractory is compacted manually or mechanically during construction. The difference from castable is the particle size of the raw materials, the content of binder and the type of admixtures. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, high mechanical strength and strong plasticity.

Quality Neutral Ramming Mass - Kerui Refractory

  • High Temperature Resistance
With a refractoriness of up to 1800°C, refractory ramming mass can withstand extreme temperatures and harsh conditions. This feature makes it suitable for lining various high-temperature furnaces, kilns, and industrial structures.
  • Excellent Thermal Shock Resistance
Ramming refractory exhibits exceptional thermal shock resistance. It maintains structural integrity and prevents spalling or cracks under rapid temperature fluctuations. This resilience ensures the durability of the refractory lining under demanding thermal cycles.
  • Strong Resistance To Chemical Corrosion
Ramming materials are designed to resist chemical attack in corrosive environments. This effectively protects the refractory lining from degradation caused by molten slags, fluxes, and other aggressive chemicals.
  • High Mechanical Load-Bearing Capacity
Refractory mass possesses high compressive strength. This feature enables them to withstand substantial mechanical loads without compromising their structural integrity. This characteristic makes them suitable for applications involving heavy mechanical stresses.
  • Outstanding Workability
Ramming materials exhibit remarkable plasticity. This allows them to be easily shaped and molded into various configurations to meet the specific requirements of the application. This versatility ensures a tight-fitting and seamless refractory lining.
  • Environmentally Friendly
Natural ramming materials are composed of inert mineral substances, making them an environmentally friendly choice. During use, these materials do not release harmful fumes or byproducts. This feature contributes to a cleaner and safer work environment. Additionally, they prevent contamination of molten steel by impurities. This ensures the production of high-quality steel.
  • High-temperature furnace linings: Construction or repair of high-temperature steel furnaces, electric furnaces, converter furnaces, boilers, chemical furnaces, synthesis furnaces, cement kilns, etc.
  • Filling material: Filling the gaps between refractory bricks or insulation layers to form a dense refractory layer.
  • Refractory casting: Manufacturing specific refractory products, such as: Nozzles, flues, pipes, burners, and so on.
