Strict Factory Production Process from Refractory Bricks Manufacturers
Kerui Refractory’s factory is located in Zhengzhou, Henan, China. It covers a total area of 90,000 square meters. We have multiple advanced production equipment and tunnel kilns for production.
In particular, we have a factory that produces high-end refractory bricks, including corundum mullite bricks, high-purity high-alumina bricks, chrome corundum bricks, zirconium corundum bricks and so on.
The entire production process utilizes digital automation, ensuring high efficiency and precision throughout. This controlled system guarantees consistent product quality, reliable uniformity across all batches, and stable production capacity for every refractory brick.
- Testing and screening high-purity, high-quality raw materials;
- Processing materials into optimal particle sizes;
- Precisely batching and mixing ingredients;
- Pressing with 25 sets of equipment (400–1200 ton pressure);
- Sintering in two 168-meter tunnel kilns, one 118-meter tunnel kiln, and two shuttle kilns;
- Final testing, polishing, and packaging with specialized equipment;
- In-house laboratory conducting rigorous quality inspections at every stage;
- Strict quality protocols—supported by advanced equipment, full-process inspections, international standards, and detailed test reports—ensure product compliance and reliable performance.
Kerui Refractory Offers a Variety of Types of Refractory Bricks
Kerui offers a variety of acidic refractory bricks, alkaline refractory bricks, neutral refractory bricks, and various high-end refractory bricks. Please refer to the specific type and usage scenario.
Typical Application | Material | Advantages |
---|---|---|
Acidic environments / glass industry / ceramic kiln roofs or outer layers | Silica Brick (SiO₂) | Good acid resistance; high thermal shock resistance; corrosive slags / molten glass resistance. |
Steel, non‑ferrous metals, rotary kiln burnout zones, ceramic kiln walls, etc. | High Alumina Brick | High temperature resistance; strong mechanical strength; good wear resistance; stable in neutral or mildly acidic/alkaline environments. |
Steel‑making furnace bottoms / slag line / rotary kiln burnout zones / non‑ferrous metal melting in alkaline slag environments | Magnesia Brick; Magnesia‑Alumina Brick; Magnesia‑Chrome Brick |
Good resistance to alkaline slags; capable of bearing heavy loads; more durable in alkaline or neutral slag conditions; high softening point. |
Glass industry, molten glass contact zones, nozzles, flow channels, bottoms of float glass bath, etc. | Mullite Bricks; Silica‑Mullite Bricks; Zircon Bricks; AZS |
Excellent resistance to molten glass corrosion; high refractoriness; good thermal shock and chemical stability; AZS with higher zircon content offers improved abrasion / corrosion resistance. |
Ceramic kiln walls / molds / moderate‑temperature parts of flues / outer layers of glass & ceramic kilns | Fireclay Bricks | Low cost; good thermal shock performance; readily available materials; easy to repair; moderate chemical stability. |
Steel industry (furnace bottoms / ladle slag zones / working layers) | High‑Purity Corundum Bricks; Chrome‑Corundum Bricks; Corundum Bricks |
Very high temperature resistance + excellent corrosion resistance + high abrasion resistance + strong mechanical strength; suitable for heavy loads and/or strong corrosive contact with molten metal or slags. Chrome‑corundum is better against glass slags or acid/neutral slags than ordinary high alumina or high silica bricks; high‑purity corundum remains stable under extreme conditions. |
Glass industry (furnace linings / float bath / flow channels / nozzles) | Zircon‑Corundum Bricks; Silica‑Zircon‑Corundum Bricks; Chrome‑Corundum Bricks; AZS bricks |
Long service life in direct contact with molten glass; especially good resistance to abrasion and slag attack; excellent performance where parts are exposed to glass liquid corrosion / slag corrosion (e.g. glass mouth, furnace throat, bath bottom, nozzles). |
Ceramic kilns / rotary kilns / chemical furnaces (walls, roofs, kiln bed, transition zones) | Mullite Bricks; Sintered Mullite Bricks; Corundum‑Mullite Bricks |
Balanced performance; lower cost than fused / zircon / high‑purity corundum; good thermal shock / mechanical strength / chemical stability; stable in medium‑high temperature with frequent temperature changes; suitable for kiln walls, roofs, transition zones. |
Special acid / calcium‑acid / corrosion‑resistant specific uses | Corundum Bricks; Corundum‑Mullite Bricks; Silica Bricks; Zircon‑Corundum Bricks; AZS Bricks |
Bricks for acid‑resistant environments have longer lifespan; good for acid pools, glass slags, acid gas environments. |
External layers / non‑working faces / insulation backings / insulating layers / furnace top covers / flue exteriors | Lightweight Bricks/Insulating Bricks | Low thermal conductivity; reduce weight; energy saving; good for temperature insulation; some lightweight bricks can work up to ~1300‑1500°C or more. |
Repair / gap filling / complex parts / non‑standard shapes / ease of installation | Monolithic Refractories: Castable, Ramming Mass, Plastic Refractories | Shape flexibility; can be cast or sprayed; fewer joints and gaps; some formulations have good acid / alkali / abrasion resistance. |
