In May 2025, a batch of specially packaged containers with the “Kerui Refractory” logo left the Henan Kerui Refractory (Kerui) production base in Henan, China. Their destination is Egypt. These high-performance soluble fiber blankets carry refractory materials designed specifically for the North African aluminum industry. This batch of refractory materials, which are strictly customized according to the technical standards of Egyptian customers, will soon become a key component for the upgrade of the lining of local aluminum smelting furnaces.

Bio Soluble Fiber Blanket Tailored For High-Temperature Aluminum Industry in Egypt
Facing the working conditions required by Egyptian customers – aluminum melting temperature is as high as 800-950℃, and it needs to withstand the thermal shock of frequent start-stop – Kerui’s technical team has delivered a precise solution:
- Size: 7320*610*25mm. This size help to reduce seams and reduce the risk of heat leakage;
- Long-term use temperature: ≥1100℃ 1200℃. Reserve safety margin and extend life by 30%;
- Bulk density: 90-100kg/m³ 96kg/m³. Optimize the balance between thermal insulation and structural strength.
Aluminum liquid penetration is the fatal flaw of traditional fiber blankets. We use a gradient lamination process to form a dense transition layer inside the blanket body, so that the product still maintains structural integrity in a 960℃ aluminum liquid environment. This is a solution recognized by Egyptian customers.
Now, this batch of bio soluble fiber blankets was delivered to Egypt after checking.

Protecting Workers’ Health with Biosoluble Technology in Egypt
Compared with the existing ceramic fiber products in the Egyptian market, the soluble fiber blanket delivered by Kerui this time has achieved a leapfrog upgrade in safety performance:
- Dual certification guarantee: Simultaneously passed the EU ECFA 701/2013 and the Egyptian Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OSHA) certification;
- Zero carcinogenic risk: Completely free of respirable crystalline silica (RCF), and obtained IARC Group 3 safety rating.
The Sustainable Mission Of Refractory Materials To Green Win-Win
Kerui not only sells products. Kerui also brings technical support for sustainable development. In the “2030 Industrial Green Transformation” promoted by the Egyptian government, Kerui products are playing a key role:
- Carbon emission reduction: A single smelting line reduces CO₂ emissions annually;
- Waste recycling: Old blankets are processed by Kerui’s recycling technology, and 30% are converted into new blanket raw materials;
Kerui uses data to prove that Chinese refractory materials can fully define new international standards. In the future, Kerui Refractory and this customers will continue to cooperate.
